Why do people expect bands to stay the same? I will never understand why people think that just because a band sounds a certan way or has certain themes in there songs that means that every cd they ever make is going to be the same way.
Whenever a popular band or singer comes out with an album that is considerable different from something they have previously made people start being judgemental and roud about them. Why can't people realize that singers are people and bands are made up of real live human beings that are going to change and grow and feel different things and thus there music isn't always going to be the same?
((sorry for the small rant. i just find it so frustrating.))

Well, I think it can be annoying either way. If I really loved
a band and I totally related to their first cd and then I went out and
bought their next cd and it turned out to be some boy band crap,
I'd be pretty pissed. Although, I do understand what you are saying
and alittle change couldn't hurt anyone. Things are always changing
and things to write about are always changing. I never minded a small
change in a band or group, in fact, I kind of enjoy it. However, if
I bought a Rob Zombie cd and he ended up sounding like Nickelback,
something wouldn't be right with the world.

lol. yeah. i get what you mean. it just bugs me. people keep going on and on at me about how manson suxx now becaus his new cd doesn't even sound like him. i'm like HELLO. leave the man alone. he doesn't have to sound the way you think he is supposed to. if manson did what people thought he was supposed to he would be like defeating the purpose of manson.

Yeah. That whole situation cracks me up actually. I was riding in the
car with my friend the other day and I swear he turned to me and goes,
"he's doing this song wrong." Now how in the unholy, frozen, Eskimo infested, flowery
hell, can he do his OWN SONG wrong? That's like telling me I'm not
acting like myself. How the hell can anyone tell me I'm not being myself?
